Urban planning
  • Integrated urban development
    • Design based on a comprehensive analysis and research that consider socio-economic aspects, a strategy of urban development, an adequate management model and a functional program.
    • Developing of a brand and design code to support local identity as a basis for entrepreneurship.
    • Straight collaboration with the local experts that is important to create a viable system with a minimum external participation, so that a project is appropriated by local communities as their own.
    • Maximum efficiency of financial investments in a project: solution of social, economic, environmental, infrastructural, cultural and educational tasks due to it.

  • Landscape urbanism
    • Creating of touristic infrastructure and master planning of natural areas, including social and economic components.
    • Development of sustainable ecosystems in urban spaces. It is relevant for green areas inside the city, embankments, and allows to create a water-green frame of the city.
Participatory design
  • Collaboration WITH RESIDENTS AND COMMUNITIES
Comprehensive interdisciplinary programs for the development of territories through collaboration with urban communities (at the same time creation of public urban spaces and community centers, including in villages).
    • Socio-cultural programming: launch of public and cultural and educational spaces with events based on the local resources.
    • Participatory design: By participating in decisions about the creation of public buildings and spaces, residents show loyalty, become co-authors of the project, appropriate it for themselves and continue to develop after construction is completed.
    • Social animation: activating if public buildings and urban spaces through events. By creating a party for themselves with us, local activists are inspired and learn to do it themselves. Events become a social glue, an opportunity to join forces and help to locals unlock the potential of the territory.
  • PROGRAM OF IMPROVEMENT OF MUNICIPAL Courtyards
    • Writing regulations and guides customized for the region, work algorithms (for example, an architect's work algorithm or an involvement mechanism). Experience in the development of standards and the implementation of pilot projects in Moscow, Tatarstan and Derbent.
    • Analysis of the assortment of leading local manufacturers of playground equipment for different target groups with the recommendations for its adjustment and expansion (upgrading and training, so that a region has standard functional and high quality equipment)
    • Creation of a "library" of functional areas with a list of possible equipment and a universal constructor from typical elements (complex of solutions for management companies and residents)
    • Design of pilot projects for several micro-districts according to the developed conceptual algorithm, with its testing.
Design with children and for children
  • Concept "City for children"
The concept includes a set of principles and methods for the development of the urban environment completed with public and recreational spaces and adapted to the abilities and interests of children. The methodology was created based on the psychology of children's perception. It includes examples of design of a "children's layer" from Russian and world practice with using participatory design methods.
  • DESIGN in collaboration WITH CHILDREN AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
    • The real embodiment of children's ideas with the help of professionals is possible: children recognise their contribution in the completed project and objects of their authorship.
    • Children's participation is possible to solve various problems: city parks, renovation of museum and theater spaces, reconstruction of schools and school yards, children's shops, art installations, residential complexes and courtyards, educational and recreational spaces.
    • Formation of a responsible and personalized relationship to your city.
    • Ability to create non-standard solutions; every community is unique.

  • Design of SCHOOL YARD WITH CHILDREN AS CO-AUTHORS
Bureau "Druzhba" together with the Moscow State Pedagogical University developed and tested in 4 schools a method of reformatting the school yard together with the school community: "School yard with children as co-authors."
In 2019, the project won the KIVO Education Innovation Competition in 5 categories. Now it is actively developing by creation of projects for the school territory as a full-fledged public space.
Purpose: to use the school territory as a center of a neighbourhood, to make it an educational space that meets the skills of the 21st century, to change relationships within the school (teachers receive a tool to include the children in decision-making).
Design of the unique objects and installation
  • design AND RECONSTRUCTION OF SOCIAL AND CULTURAL buildings
    • Development of principles and solutions for the reconstruction of existing schools, kindergartens, hospitals.
    • Implementation of unique multidisciplinary projects at the intersection of culture, science, education and architecture (museums, theaters, interactive routes, community centers).
    • Development of standard projects of a new level.
  • IDENTITY THROUGH URBAN SPACE
    • Identification and articulation of the identity of the city and its manifestation in the environment, creating an identity by means of architecture, design, work with residents and social animation.
    • Development of projects of significant places together with residents.
    • Creation of the design code of the city.
