All over the world, designing for people is becoming designing with people, and schools are no exception. The involvement of children, their teachers, and parents in changing the educational environment has long-term effects and reflection not only in the appearance of the school but also in relations within the community, academic results, and universal skills of schoolchildren. Practical advice from an interdisciplinary team of architects, educators, psychologists, and community development professionals helps to get on the path to participatory design. This publication is addressed to directors and representatives of the administration of public and private schools, kindergartens, teachers, and architects who share the values of children's participation.
